The City of Siloam Springs recognized one of its young achievers, after the mayor proclaimed Friday “Rachel Ford Day”.

The Siloam Springs student is the president of the Arkansas Future Business Leaders of America and Vice President of the National Southern Region. She was honored for her achievements during halftime of the Siloam Springs High School basketball game.

Ford has spoken to thousands of students across the country, encouraging them to become future business leaders

After finishing her undergraduate’s degree at Ole Miss’ Honor’s College, Ford hopes to attend law school and one day become a public prosecutor.

“Honestly, it all just happened so fast. And it’s all just an honor, especially all those letters from senators and congressmen whom I have never met before,” Ford said. “I am so honored to be a citizen of Siloam Springs and for all the support they have given me.”
