Some Rogers residents will have to wait another full week before their trash is collected, city officials announced Tuesday.

Icy road conditions from the weekend snowfall halted garbage collection Monday in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville. Rogers garbage trucks also did not run Tuesday, so Monday trash service customers will have to wait until next Monday for their garbage to be picked up, city officials said.

Trash services are delayed one day in Rogers for all customers whose garbage is not regularly scheduled to be picked up on Mondays.

Garbage trucks in Fayetteville also did not run Tuesday. The city’s trash services will run on a delay the rest of this week, and all garbage is scheduled to be collected by Saturday, said Brian Pugh, waste reduction coordinator for Fayetteville’s Solid Waste division.

Trash collection in Springdale and Bentonville is one day behind schedule, with workers set to pick up all garbage by the end of the week, officials in both cities said.
