The city of Fayetteville Animal Shelter is going to be doing some spring cleaning, and as a result, the shelter will be closed March 22 to complete work refurbishing flooring, according to a news release put out today.
“The current tile has been here ever since the building first opened, and it was decided that it needed to removed for both sanitary and aesthetic reasons,” stated Justine Lentz, shelter superintendent.
“The plans are to remove all of the tile, sand the concrete floors, and then stain and polish the concrete. This will make it much easier to clean and maintain a sanitary environment in this high-traffic area,” Lentz continued.
The Fayetteville Animal Shelter has adopted out over 200 pets since the beginning of the year.
