Fayetteville police are seeking suspects they say robbed a local man at gunpoint Thursday afternoon (March 6).

Police said the victim told them two men and a woman in a car approached him while he was walking through Lakeside Village Apartments. He was then robbed at gunpoint, with the gunman taking at least a cellphone, according to preliminary information released by the Fayetteville Police Department.

The victim described the gunman as a black male with a silver and black pistol. He said the gunman was wearing a doo-rag and a red polo shirt, said Sgt. Craig Stout, police department spokesman.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a Hispanic man in his early 20s, with tiger stripe and fish hook tattoos on his face. A woman was sitting in the passenger seat at the time of the robbery. Police said her name may be Stormy Lane.

The victim does not live at the complex and told police he was just passing through.
