Tyson Foods workers were evacuated from a Springdale plant early Saturday morning after ammonia may have leaked into the building, according to the Springdale Fire Department.
Firefighters responded around 3 a.m. to the Tyson Berry Street Plant after a valve malfunctioned, possibly leaking some ammonia into the interior of the building, according to the fire department.
Workers were evacuated to an area outside of the building, where they remained until the leak was contained. The scene was cleared a little more than one hour after the initial call, a Springdale Fire Department battalion chief told 5NEWS.
No one was hospitalized, and no one complained of any injuries, the battalion chief said.
