Washington County Election Commissioner John Logan Burrow has died, officials confirmed on Monday (March 10).

The cause of death was undetermined late Monday, but officials said no foul play was suspected in the death of the longtime Northwest Arkansas lawyer at his home.

Burrow, 67, was election commissioner for more than 19 years, according to an email from the executive committee of the Washington County Democrats. The committee will provide memorial service information when it is available, the email states.

Conrad T. Odom of the Odom Law Firm in Fayetteville sent the following email on Monday afternoon to members of the legal community:

“It is with a heavy heart that inform you I have just learned of John Burrow’s passing.  His office asked that I inform the bar.”

State Rep. Greg Leding, D-Fayetteville, said Burrow will be missed.

“He was a good man, and he was loved,” Leding said. “Our prayers go out to his family.”
