A jury has convicted a former University of Central Arkansas administrator accused of giving master keys to a student who then stole tests from professors’ offices.
The jury deliberated about an hour and a half Wednesday before convicting Jack Gillean on six counts of commercial burglary.
Gillean served as UCA chief of staff but resigned in 2012.
Gillean’s defense attorneys had questioned the credibility of prosecution witnesses who had been granted immunity in exchange for their cooperation.
