Three vehicles were involved in an accident at approximately 5:01 p.m. on Wednesday (March 11) on U.S. Route 59 1.6 miles south of Stilwell, according to a report received from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Album Lewis, 46, of Stilwell, was driving a 2002 Ford Windstar van, and Tomas Hemandez, 69, of Stilwell, was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup truck. LeeAn Dewberry, 29, of Sallisaw was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox.

Lewis was driving northbound when he went left of center and side-swiped Hemandez, before colliding head on with Dewberry, the report states.

Lewis was transported by Air-Evac to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville with trunk-internal injuries. He was admitted in stable condition, according to the report.

Hemandez was transported by EMS to the Stilwell Hospital with head and leg injuries. He was treated and eventually released the report states.

Dewberry was transported by Air-Evac to the same hospital as Lewis with head and trunk-internal injuries. She was admitted in critical condition, according to the report.

Airbags deployed in all vehicles, and seat belts were in use by all subjects, the report states. The weather was clear, and the asphalt was dry.
