"We are trying to do three things, and the first thing we are trying to do is to not use growth money in our budget for next year," he said. "We would like to be able to have the funds necessary for when our high school opens in 2016. We have got to have those operational funds. We would also like to give our employees a raise."
Poore said the reduction in staff will happen through a natural process, as staff members retire and move to new places.
