Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder has announced an awards and promotional ceremony that will be held on Thursday (March 20), according to a news release Wednesday.
The ceremony will be held in the east annex of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 1:30 p.m.
During the ceremony, the sheriff will recognize employee promotions and will present the Commendation Bar and Lifesaving Award to employees that have distinguished themselves by going above and beyond their normal duties, the release states.
Sheriff Helder will also present the Outstanding Citizen Award to a Washington County resident that assisted detectives with a high profile homicide investigation.
