Leadership Fort Smith Alumni Association Announces Award Recipients

The Leadership Fort Smith Alumni Association has announced this year’s award recipients for the Jack White and Community Leadership Awards, according to a news release Friday.

The awards will be present at the Alumni Association’s annual Commencement and Leadership Awards Ceremony on Thursday (May 1).

The Jack White Leadership Fort Smith Award is given annually to an individual whose leadership has improved the quality of life in Fort Smith by way of bettering the city, demonstrating vision, commitment and courage. The winner of this year’s award is Ivy Owen, according to the news release.

In addition to Owen, the Leadership Fort Smith Alumni Association also announced the following Community Leader Awards:

  • Business/Industry – Charles Warren
  • Education – Dr. Marta Lloyd
  • Government – Kevin Lindsey
  • Non-Profit – Julie Moncrief
  • Healthcare – Kris L. Gast, MD.
  • Religion – Rev. Jim Files

 

The 2014 Leadership Fort Smith Commencement and Leadership Awards Ceremony will start at 6 p.m. on Thursday (May 1) at the Reynolds Conference Center at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith.
