Ski Masked Gunmen Broke Into Springdale Man’s Home, Deputies Say
Authorities arrested a Fayetteville woman Monday after she allegedly broke into a Washington County man’s home Saturday with an accomplice and threatened to kill him at gunpoint.
Jamie Pratt, 32, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault, battery, criminal mischief and possession of drug paraphernalia. She remained Monday in the Washington County Detention Center on $25,660 bond, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Pratt and another masked intruder kicked in a local man’s door, at his home on Wade Road near Springdale on Saturday night. The ski mask-clad suspects pointed black pistols at the man and threatened to kill him, while demanding a pistol Pratt’s boyfriend had allegedly left at the home, according to an investigative report from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told the intruders he did not have the pistol they were looking for. The suspects then left and fired two shots, according to investigating deputies. The victim’s windshield and rear glass of his blue 2000 Pontiac Grand Am passenger car had been shattered.
One of the suspects was later identified as Pratt. Investigators are still working on identifying Pratt’s accomplice, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
