Fort Smith Police Department Arrests Theft Suspect

The Fort Smith Police Department arrested a theft suspect pictured to the right on Friday, according to Sgt. Daniel Grubbs, Public Information Office for the department.

At approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 25), the suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, entered Old Fort Pawn located at 200 S. 7th St, according to a news release from the Fort Smith Police Department.

He asked to see multiple rings and ring sets. After he left, the business discovered four wedding band sets were missing.

The value of the sets was a grand total of $5,750, according to the Fort Smith Police Department.
