The Springdale Police Department arrested Wilmer Magana on March 26, according to a news release from Public Information Officer Lt. Derek Hudson.
Charges included Computer Exploitation of a Child (Felony), Sexual Indecency with a Child (Felony) and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (Misdemeanor), according to the news release.
Through an investigation, authorities discovered that Magana had recorded himself having sex with a 15-year-old girl. It was further discovered that the sexual acts with the young girl began when Magana was 18 and she was only 14.
Magana was taken to the Washington County Detention Center where he is currently awaiting a hearing.
