Hail and nearly an inch of rain fell in Fayetteville Friday (March 28).

"We were looking at the radar and it looks pretty wicked," said driver Traci Presley.

On Mall Avenue and Joyce Blvd no traffic lights were in sight Friday afternoon.

"It's pretty crazy," said Presley.

Police manned traffic until power was restored.

"All the power is out everywhere that we went," said Presley.

There was a sea of frustrated movie goers at the Fayetteville Malco.

"They said there was no electricity so don't even try to come in," said Polly Vickers.

The Malco said they were without power and internet for three hours.

Managers at the Malco told 5NEWS they were unable to give customers a refund due to the power being out but did hand out movie passes.
