The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office arrested the mother of a 7-month-old baby that was taken into Mercy Hospital on Sunday (March 30).

The infant, a baby girl, reportedly suffered from burns on the face and scalp, and she was later airlifted to the Little Rock Burn Center.

During the interview, the mother stated the injuries occurred on Saturday night, and she didn’t seek medical attention for the child until Sunday night, according to the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office.

After the interview, the mother, identified as Morgan Crow, was arrested on suspicion of not getting medical help for the child, which resulted in her being taken into custody on suspicion of failure to protect, a felony charge.

Authorities are attempting to locate the boyfriend, who was watching the child prior to the Crow coming home.
