A Siloam Springs teen is fighting for his life after a spring break car wreck left him in a coma.

Clay Walker’s family said they are praying for the 13 year old after a wreck changed their lives.

"We were actually headed to Miami, Fla. We were going to take a cruise to the Bahamas," said Walker’s mother Taissia Holmes.

The wreck occurred on Interstate 10 near Pensacola last Wednesday (March 26). Walker was taken by helicopter to a local hospital, where his family said he is being treated for bleeding of the brain.

"I don't even have words for it,” said Holmes.

His family said they are at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.

Clay's friends in Siloam Springs said they are hoping to see him back at home soon.

"We had our first prayer group today for Clay,” said friend Eli Simpson. “We just prayed for him, and we helped people who needed to talk to somebody."

Clay’s sister was also injured in the wreck. The man driving the two kids ran into the back of a semi truck, the children's mother said.

Clay’s sister suffered a broken collar bone.

The boy's mother said she doesn't know what caused her boyfriend to crash into the 18-wheeler. The mother and her boyfriend were treated for minor injuries.
