The Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion was celebrated today. The Walton Arts Center, which owns the AMP, organized a "Topping Off" ceremony.

Crews are still working to complete the 5,400 square venue, but the permanent canopy is up. It will cover the performing artists and 3,000 of the 7,000 seats.

People who were at the ceremony signed their names on a beam that was installed as part of the structure. The AMP celebration invited sponsors from big companies to the area, like Walmart, Tyson and General Mills.

The amphitheater had been in Fayetteville for almost 10 years before the decision was made to permanently stay in Rogers.

The $11,000,000 project is getting closer to being done every day.

According to officials from the Walton Arts Center, when the amphitheater is finished, it will be the largest permanent outdoor amphitheater in the state.
