Hundreds of Moore residents lined the street across from a junior high school on Sunday afternoon as protesters from the notorious Westboro Baptist Church set up, according to affiliate station KFOR – Channel 4.
KFOR reported that the church announced the protest on their website, and although their permit enabled them to protest for a full 30 minutes, they left well before that time was up.
The church reportedly claims that the large tornado that hit the town in 2013 was “God’s punishment.”
