The funeral for Siloam Springs firefighter Tanner Rundle has been set for Saturday (April 12), at 1 p.m. in Fayetteville, according to Holland Hayden, Communication Manager for the city of Siloam Springs.

The service will be held at Christian Life Cathedral, located at 1285 Millsap Rd.

It’s reportedly a large venue that will accommodate a significant Fire Department and Public Safety presence.

Rundle was killed in a collision with an 18-wheel tractor-trailer on Sunday (April 6). He died after his 2012 Mazda 6 struck the trailer portion of a 2013 Kenworth T660 about 1:55 p.m., according to a news release from the Arkansas State Police.

The 18-wheeler had been traveling east on U.S. 412 before turning left onto Fairmount Road in front of Rundle’s car, which had been traveling west on U.S. 412, the release states.

Rundle’s car hit the trailer portion of the 18-wheeler, traveling underneath the trailer and coming to rest after striking some trees along the highway, troopers said. Rundle was alone in the car.
