A Greenland student has been arrested after admitting to leaving a bomb threat at the high school, said Greenland Police Chief Gary Ricker.
The Greenland School District sent out an alert to parents at 1:07 p.m. stating a bomb threat was discovered written on a bathroom wall and that the person responsible had been identified and arrested.
School officials said the arrested student was removed from school grounds, and administrators do not believe a threat exists against Greenland students.
The police chief said he could not release information on the student’s arrest because the person arrested is a minor.
The threat was discovered Monday afternoon after school, and the building was swept by police. Nothing suspicious was found, Ricker said.
