Charlie Rossetti won the West Fork mayor’s race Tuesday night, after serving as the city’s interim mayor since November.

Rossetti defeated challenger Steve Winkler 330 votes (72 percent) to 127 (28 percent), according to the Washington County Election Commission.

Rossetti, an alderman at the time, was named interim mayor by the West Fork City Council last year after Mayor Frances Hime suddenly resigned.

The mayor’s term will expire in December. The next regularly-scheduled mayoral election is set for November.

The mayor’s position is a part-time job that pays about $7,000 per year.

Rossetti maintains a blog where he has chronicled his campaign efforts.
