One Dead, Several Injured In LeFlore County Wreck

At least one person is dead and two people were injured in a wreck involving a tractor-trailer and four cars in LeFlore County, Okla., Friday night (April 11).

Barbara Montgomery of Red Oak, Okla., was killed in the wreck. Her husband, Robert Montgomery, was hospitalized in critical condition in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, authorities said.

According to the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened on Oklahoma 270 near the Hicks Chapel Road intersection in Wister.

Authorities said the highway was shut down for four hours in both directions.

According to the highway patrol, no charges have been filed yet; it was still an open investigation.
