A 15-year-old male has been arrested for Communicating a False Alarm (Felony) in connection with a threatening message that was found on Friday (April 11) written in a boy’s bathroom stall at Rogers Heritage High School, according to a news release from Public Information Officer Keith Foster.

In cooperation with school officials, detectives with the Rogers Police Department started an investigation into the incident after the threat was found.

On Monday (April 14), the 15-year-old male was arrested after detectives worked closely with school officials.

Authorities were able to identify and interview the juvenile early Monday morning. After being arrested, the juvenile was cited to juvenile court. Detectives are still investigating other incidents of threatening messages left in the bathrooms, according to the news release.

Awe another case of zero tolerance where common sense and understanding are forfeited for a sense of power and condemnation. Forvthose cases where actual harm is intended, then prosecute the juvenile in keeping with juvenile offenders. No use in ruiining a life for imature boneheaded decisions of youth. If these prosecutory standards existed 20+ years ago, prisons would be full of people who ate a gun shape out of a sandwich or pointed their finger at someone and said pow. Stop the hysteria.
