The Ramay Junior High School will host a VEX robotics competition on Saturday (April 19) in the Ramay gym, according to a news release from Public Information Officer Alan T. Wilbourn with the Fayetteville School District.

Teams from Bryant, Star City, Muskogee, Fort Smith, Belton, Bentonville, Fayetteville and Springdale will compete in both junior high and senior high categories.

Qualification matches will start at 9:45 a.m. and run through noon. An afternoon session begins at 1 p.m. with elimination matches expected to start at 2:45 p.m., according to the news release.

This is the first VEX competition to be hosted in Northwest Arkansas, according to the news release, and local residents are encouraged to come out and support the students.
