NBA Players Protest L.A. Clippers Owner Donald Sterling

(CNN) — The players in the National Basketball Association spoke out Sunday about racist comments attributed to Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

The Clippers players staged a silent protest. As they warmed up for an NBA playoff game, the players removed their warmup shirts bearing team logos to reveal red T-shirts worn inside out, with the logos hidden.

They finished warming up, removed the red shirts and played the game wearing their regular uniforms.

The National Basketball Players Association demanded Sterling be barred from all playoff games this season.

The players also want an accounting of past accusations of racism against Sterling; an explanation of what kind of discipline might be issued; assurance that the league commissioner will work with the association; and assurance the investigation will be conducted swiftly.

As usual there is a lot more whining about this event than is merited. If you take the time to listen to the ENTIRE exchange between this old fool and his gold-digger girlfriend you realize the overt racism claim is just plain old B.S. The woman (can’t use the term lady in this case) is clearly baiting this old fool. You can assume her intention is to benefit financially from all this.
As far a the racism thing is concerned, the guy is entitled to his own opinion, remember? Whether you agree with him or not is your own opinion and it may not win the adoration of a lot of people so be prepared to be surprised. If the NBA comes down on this guy then the entire NBA should be shut down. Fans should quit going to the games and then we’ll see just how much the players whine then. You race baiters need to sit down and shut up.

Stop whining…..If I got paid millions of dollars to play a GAME you can call me whatever you want or think whatever you want about me as long as you keep the checks rolling in. STOP WHINING

When I was a young man we convinced ourselves that racism would be a thing of the past by the 21st Century. How pathetic that some think that folks should stop “whining” when folks in authority over them show their bigotry openly.
It is akin to the idiots who just advise women to “lay back and enjoy it” when they are being raped.

It’s getting where your opinion will get you in hot water too easliy these days, and with the help of the media. And that’s not right. Next the goverment will be knocking on your door because you say you don’t like Obama (for whatever reason?..take your pick) This polictical correctness is choking American’s voice.

Everyone is getting their poor little feelings hurt. Time to grow up! This is how the real world works.

BTW: It’s called freedom of speech.

Those NBA players should get down on their knees and thank the Lord that they were born with the height and talent to play BB. They should also be aware that there is no other place in this galaxy that they woud be paid like they are now. The gubbamint ought to be taxing the NBA players 99% of what they are paid. It’s only fair you know!
