A temporary road closure was announced Monday (April 28) in Springdale as part of the Don Tyson Parkway Interchange project via a news release.
As construction progresses on the Don Tyson Parkway Interchange project, a temporary road closure has become necessary to accommodate the reconstruction of the Don Tyson Parkway and 48th Street Intersection, according to the news release.
The closure is planed from 9 a.m. Thursday (May 1) to 10 p.m. Sunday (May 4). During that time, 48th Street traffic approaching this particular intersection will be required to turn right (which is East) onto Don Tyson Parkway and utilize an alternate north/south route. Such routes could include 40th Street, Carley Road or Johnson Road, according to the news release.
Southbound traffic will be required to turn at Watkins Avenue and then choose and alternate north/south route. Such routes could include 56th Street to the west or 40th street to the east, according to the news release.
Individuals that reside on 48th Street or Don Tyson Parkway will be able to access the area from Johnson Mill Boulevard.
