Cinco de Mayo Recipes: Fresh Salsa and Guacamole

Suzy Smith, owner of Beland Manor Inn in Fort Smith, joined 5NEWS This Morning to showcase her Suzy’s Salsa recipe and Guacamole recipe.

For the salsa, here’s what you’ll need:

Diced tomatoes
Onion
Assorted bell peppers
Roasted poblano peppers (the secret ingredient)
Garlic
Cilantro
Spices of your choosing
A dash of Vinegar

Chop all the vegetables into chunks. Mix all of it together in a food processor until blended. Serve with tortilla chips.

For the guacamole:

Avocados
Lemon
Red onion
Cumun
Kosher salt

Mash the seeded avocados into a bowl. Then add all the other ingredients until smooth. Serve with tortilla chips.
