CNN- Islamist militant group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for last month’s abduction of more than 200 girls from a Nigerian school.
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau made the claim in a nearly hour-long video statement first obtained by Agence France-Presse on Monday (May 5).
A man claiming to be Boko Haram’s leader says he’ll sell the more than 200 girls that his group abducted from a Nigerian school last month. “I abducted your girls. I will sell them in the market, by Allah,” a man claiming to be Abubakar Shekau says in a video, according to a CNN translation from Hausa.
He continued, “There is a market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell. He commands me to sell. I will sell women. I sell women.”
