Officials in Elk Grove, Calif., spent hours chasing a runaway cow that ran onto a highway early Wednesday morning (May 7), according to a report from affiliate station KTXL.
The cow got loose and ran onto the highway and into the streets of town, according to KTXL.
One dozen officers joined the chase and were able to corner the cow several times, but it managed to run into a shopping center and another nearby field, KTXL reported.
Officials finally called in a horse rider to rope the cow, and the situation was taken care of, according to KTXL.
