The Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion has announced a grand opening community concert, according to a news release Thursday (May 8).

The concert will feature Blake Shelton, and the concert costs are being covered by Walmart, the news release states.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Northwest Arkansas charities, according to the news release.

The event takes place on June 7, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.

Local Amanda Hull said she heard the news on Facebook and immediately got in touch with her friends.

"I got super excited, and I shared it and I tagged my friends, so we were planning on going and getting the tickets tomorrow," Hull said.

Ryan Kelley said he may stay away from the first concert of the season because of the crowds.

"It'll be really busy, and I don't know if it'll be worth sacrificing the busyness for pleasure for a five dollar ticket," Kelley said, "I mean it sounds nice, I thought the tickets would be more priced around the $30 to $50 range."

Tickets will go on sale Friday (May 9) at 9 a.m. and range from $5 to $10, the news release states.

Tickets may be purchased by calling 479-443-5600 or by clicking here.
