Washington County Sheriff’s Charity Golf Tournament Tops $30,000

Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder has announced his charity golf tournament raised more than $30,000, according to a news release Thursday (May 8).

Sheriff Helder announced the 8th Annual “Sheriff Helder’s Cops & Friends Classic” raised a total of $34,751. That totals almost $7,000 more than the previous year.

This year, $30,751 of that money is going to the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Wives Scholarship Fund, and $2,000 is going to the Washington Regional Medical Center Willard Walker Hospice Home.

It was also announced in the release that $2,000 will go to the Dr. Harold B. Rinker Memorial Scholarship Fund.
