For the second straight day, Arkansas saw a late inning lead disappear as Texas A&M rallied to tie the game.

For the second straight day, the Razorbacks came back to win it in the late innings.

Arkansas scored four runs in the bottom of the 8th to post a 7-3 win over the Aggies at Baum Stadium.

“I’m real proud of our guys for not panicking,” Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said. “We did a good job putting the bat on the ball and taking the lead. Brian Anderson’s at bat was big with the inside fastball and hit it up the middle and Fisher crushed the home run and the momentum was ours and we got the win.”

Texas A&M scored runs in the seventh and eighth innings to tie the game, with the tying run coming on a wild pitch.

Arkansas rallied to take the lead in the bottom half of the inning on a throwing error after an Andrew Benintendi ground ball to second. Brian Anderson pushed the Arkansas lead to 5-3 later in the eighth with a RBI single to center before Eric Fisher set the final margin with a two-run home run to right field. Fisher leads Arkansas with eight home runs this season.

The Razorbacks will try to complete the three game sweep of No. 20 Texas A&M on Sunday.

“Obviously our goal was winning game one then we wanted to win the series,” Van Horn said. “We have not been in this position at all this season. Our team is warmed up and ready to go.”
