Brian Anderson hit two home runs, including a grand slam in the ninth inning to give the Arkansas baseball team a 9-4 win at Missouri Thursday night. The victory clinches a spot in the SEC Tournament for the Hogs and keeps them alive for an NCAA Regional.
Anderson finished with three hits, including a triple and three runs batted in. Clark Eagan reached base five times, tallied three hits and belted his second home run in the last four games. Eric Fisher recorded a pair of doubles in the contest and drove in a run as the Razorbacks finished with 11 hits.
Eagan broke a 2-2 tie in the seventh inning with his two-run blast to give Arkansas a 4-2 lead they would never relinquish.
Trey Killian threw 6.0 innings and gave up up two runs on four hits, while tying his career-high with nine strikeouts to earn his third win of the year. Jacob Stone worked a pair of hitless innings, while Jackson Lowery came on in the ninth to record the final out.
“This is a big series for us," said head coach Dave Van Horn. "It was good for us to get a win today, especially since we lost last Sunday and you don’t want to go back-to-back losses this time of year.”
The series continues Friday night at 6:05 p.m.
