Old Timers Day Brings Economic Boost

A weekend of arts, crafts, food and carnival rides in Van Buren for the annual Old Timers Day Festival.

Hundreds of people crowded Main St. to check out more than 200 exhibitors and musicians from seven states.

Many attendees said the festival was a great way to enjoy time with family and give a boost to the local economy. “I think this is a big boost to our economy at Van Buren. And I think it helps a lot of people fundraise. Local organizations come and set up booths and raise money. It also affects all the restaurants and different businesses that are here,” said Telitha Hernandez.
