US to Charge Chinese State Officials for Hacking
The U.S. Justice Department is filing charges against five Chinese officials, accusing them of hacking into U.S. industrial companies to spy and steal secrets, according to U.S. officials briefed on the investigation.
These are the first ever charges against Chinese state officials for what the U.S. says is a widespread problem.
U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder was expected to announce the charges and provide more details Monday.
