The Van Buren Fire Department responded to a controlled burn at a pallet company near Interstate 40, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
The company was identified as Preferred Pallets, located at 3236 Dora Rd.
The owners of the company spoke with 5NEWS and confirmed that they were merely conducting a controlled burn. Someone called the fire department, and they responded to the flames, but the business owners had all the necessary permissions to conduct their burn.
