The Arkansas storm shelter door that caved in and killed a central Arkansas woman during the Mayflower tornado is going to be taken out of state for study, according to John Robinson with the National Weather Service.
Since that death was reported, questions have been raised about the door and its condition, according to Robison.
Wind engineers will be taking the door back to their lab for study and testing it at Texas Tech University, Robinson said.
After testing, the engineers will write a scientific report on the door and their obtained results. Those results are expected before the end of the summer, according to Robinson.
