It was a rainy Tuesday night at the Old Fort Days Rodeo (May 27). But that didn’t stop hundreds of cowboys and cowgirls from heading to the big event in Fort Smith.

Everything from mutton bustin to bucking horses, the weather didn’t stop anyone to going out and enjoying the rodeo.

"The rain will never stop me I just keep on going rain or shine," Barbara Shaw said.

Despite all of this rain, directors said the ticket sales were strong with a number of 2,200 to be exact.

"We have about 2,700 last night we are really pleased with all the weather problems that we've had today," director Linda Schipley said.

Tomorrow night (May 28) is also family night, where the tickets are $5 dollars each. After that, tickets are on sale online for $10 each and $15 at the door.

The rodeo goes until Saturday (May 31).
