People from across the country are in Fort Smith for the Old Fort Days Rodeo. A couple that attended the rodeo Wednesday night (May 28) is from the United Kingdom.
Yvonne and Paul Carter are not your average Brits. They were 4,520 miles away from their home in London, England.
The two planned the day for 3 years. They were only at the rodeo for one night.
“You just want to pinch yourself just as I expected to be,” said Paul Carter.
Yvonne has been riding horses since the age of 5.
“We found the rodeo here so we had to change all of our routes so we could get here,” said Yvonne Carter.
They said the American culture and their first night at the rodeo will stay with them forever.
“Goosebumps, goosebumps fantastic,” said Paul Carter.
The couple plan on heading to Oklahoma and to Texas before they leave to go all the way back to London.
