(CNN) Embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki has resigned, President Barack Obama said on Friday (May 30).

Obama said he would demand accountability if problems were found at VA medical facilities, and accepted Shinseki’s resignation. The two met at the White House before the President announced the the development, which came as political pressure mounted for the Cabinet officer to step down.

“I regret he has to resign under these circumstances,” Obama said.

FINALLY a story on the VA scandal, one of dozens under this communist regime, from this so-called “news” organization. What no more stories today on goats going on hungers strikes?

Eric Shinseki is an honorable and distinguished disabled veteran and I thank him for his service to our country.

In no way did he do anything wrong except trust his subordinates. Civilian employees of the VA in Phoenix AZ could not meet the expected appointment dates by doctors of fourteen days, therefore they fudged the records. There were simply too many veterans who needed a doctor and not enough physician’s.

Ric Shinseki served thirty-eight years of distinguised service and in his Army people were truthful and trustworty. Mid-level employees were not trustworthy and I hope they are fired for pencil pushing the records.

@ Tom: I will continually remind readers of your being four to six commenters on each page to push your viewpoint, which is less than honorable.

He may be a good guy and all that but he took the bigtime job and now has to pay the bigtime penalty. He won’t die however!
Obumma dodges another one and found someone else to blame. Now let’s get on with the IRS and Benghazi investigations.

I now understand why you call names. You have no clue what your name is.

Arnold I hope you were ths invested in doing the right thing when Bush 43 was in office?

Propaganda is information that is not impartial and used primarily to influence an audience and further an agenda, often by presenting facts selectively (thus possibly lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or using loaded messages to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. Propaganda is especially useful as a form of ideological or commercial warfare.

Yea let’s find some way to blame Obama on this. It’s unfortunate that these vets cannot get better healthcare but they have had this problem way before Obama took office. Looks the state if Arizona discriminates against just about everybody, Hispanics, Gays and now Veterans. Most if these problems with VA healthcare is in conservative states but do you think you’ll see any republicans step up and take some blame? Probably not.

Obama has known about this for years, although he claimed he first heard about it on the news..lol. How can you trust anyone who says that bald face lie?

Hopefully soon we can rid the United States of BHO and Hillary Clinton and try and get the stink out of the White House.

If he did know about this for years, what day or year did he actually find out, since you know more than I do?

And why would you assume the White House stinks? I have been there and it smells just fine. Are you making a racially insensitive remark? If so, grow up.

Great how you pinpoint the specifics of the day or speech when Obama said he would clean up the VA. Why can’t you just say you despise the black man instead of your petty little rhetoric that means nothing? The VA was never equipped to handle Iraq and Afghan service members as well as retiring veterans. There had been lay offs in the VA to save money. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SHENSEKI.

He fell on the sword and was a war hero himself. That is how much you really care about veterans.

Your bald face lie comment, did you apply that to Fannie Mae, bailout of the banks, housing crisis, two stimulus packages unpaid for, two wars unpaid for, WMD? Oh wait, the guy was white. Lets let that go and pretend it never happened.
