It happened Saturday (May 31) afternoon around 1:30 p.m. at Corona Restaurant in Rogers.

The woman was driving for her husband who was intoxicated, according to an eyewitness. The elderly woman had problems with her legs and accidentally pushed the gas instead of the brakes, the eyewitness said.

At the time of the crash, there was a group gathered for a funeral service of a friend who had recently died, the eyewitness said.

No one was hurt, but the crash left the restaurant damaged. There are broken windows and substantial damage to the exterior brick of the building.

It is odd that there are no comments here but if the drunken husband had been at the wheel there’d be at least 30 by now…..

It is very sad that the driver is physically impaired but it will be even sadder if she continues to drive with said impairment.
