Arkansas Staves Off Elimination With Rout

Razorbacks blow out Bucknell 10-0 to set up rematch with top seeded Virginia

With their back against the wall, Arkansas came out swinging.

The Razorbacks tied a season high with 16 hits and routed Bucknell 10-0 in an elimination at the NCAA regional in Charlottesville, Va.

Arkansas (40-24) will get a rematch with Virginia tonight (June 1). The Cavaliers topped Arkansas 3-0 on Friday.

Bucknell quickly found itself in a huge hole against the Razorbacks as Arkansas plated four runs in the top of the first to take control. Eric Fisher started the scoring with a RBI single then Tyler Spoon, Krisjon Wilkerson and Alex Gosser each followed with RBI singles to blow the game open.

Jalen Beeks, making his first pitching appearance in nearly a month, cruised through five innings of work to pick up the win. Beeks tied a season high with nine strikeouts.

Clark Eagan and Brian Anderson each had three hits for the Razorbacks to lead the way for nine different players to hit safely, with seven different Hogs driving in runs.
