A mobile home in Crawford County was destroyed in an early morning fire Monday (June 2).

Crews on scene said a neighbor called to report the home on Angel Falls Drive burning around 1 a.m. Monday morning, after seeing heavy smoke in the area.

When crews arrived, they said flames were shooting about 25 feet in the air.

“At that point, everything was fully involved from one end of the home to the other,” said District Five’s Assistant Fire Chief Frank Demarco. “The side of the roof was already down when we got here.”

Crews said they worked for about an hour to get the fire put out. Demarco said they weren’t able to salvage anything from the mobile home.

“Nothing… Nothing is left,” Demarco said. “It was a total loss.”

Crews said no one was inside when the home caught fire. Deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office are working to figure out who the home belongs to, Demarco said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation Monday, according to authorities.
