A Rogers Police Department vehicle was involved in an accident Friday afternoon (June 6), according to Public Information Officer Keith Foster.

The officer was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens.

While in route, the vehicle was involved in a collision at North 8th Street and West Walnut Street, according to Foster.

No information about potential injuries has been released at this time, but Foster said medical personnel were called for.

A witness to the accident said the police officer had the lights and sirens going on the vehicle and was traveling through a red light when another vehicle ran through a green light and collided with the officer’s vehicle.
