The Adult Education Center in Fort Smith will host a blood drive today (June 11) in the basement of the building from 8:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Organizers tell 5NEWS this is the time of year when the supply of blood is running low, and donations are greatly needed.

"It's really important, especially in the summer months. They're out almost every day some of them," said Director Gary Udouj, "My students and staff feel that it's really important to do this, and we feel that way too."

To donate make sure to bring a photo ID. Those who donate will receive a free t-shirt and two tickets to the Tulsa Zoo, according to organizers.

The Adult Education Center is just off of Rogers Avenue at 510 S. 20th St.
