Due to recent weather, lane closures in association with the construction of the Don Tyson Parkway Interchange that were planned to end on Friday (June 20) have been extended, according to a news release.

The lane closures have been extended to July 2, the release states.

During this time, one lane of traffic will be closed for both northbound and southbound lanes on I-49 between exit 69 and exit 72. The closure will be in effect between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. each day, according to the release.

Outside of those hours, all lanes of traffic will be open, but the shoulders will be closed and reduced lane widths will remain in effect, the release states.

Drivers should expect delays during the listed times and use caution when going through work zones.
