An ex-convict named Bryant Collins saved a baby in Georgia before it crawled onto the highway, according to a report from affiliate station WDAF.

Collins was driving down the road when he saw a baby crawling through the woods on June 13, WDAF reported.

He stopped, picked up the girl and called 911. After the call, he stayed with her for two hours until police arrived, according to WDAF.

“The baby started crying, so, I turned my phone on and let her listen to some gospel music, and she calmed right down,” Collins said.

Pretty disgusting way to treat a man for saving a child’s life, and spending two hours with it until police arrive, no matter what his past. Guess you need shock and odd, to get readers. If it wasn’t for Garrett this website would be a waste of bandwidth. Hopefully you’ll change the heading when you read your customers response to it.

Yeah,I was thinking the same thing. Obama would have left the baby. Its a good thing it wasn’t an emergency!!!!!!

You are so wrong. Toxic language without a shred of fact.
The twice elected President has helped many children.
Unemployment pay, Veterans benefits, WIC, SNAP, housing, education and our Congress has voted down so many much needed programs.

Are you serious Obama would have left the baby? He cares nothing about children that’s why he came up with the Affordable Care Act so unprivileged children could have access to healthcare. Must be nice to blame all your problems on Obama and the liberals. The way they worded the headline could be looked at like even if you’ve been to prison you can still do good in society. When you’re young you do a lot of stupid things and some of these things land you on prison. It takes a real courage to admit you’ve messed up and then learn from it unlike some people who blame all their problems on someone else.

I think this story should focus a lot less on the fact that there was a baby crawling through the woods by herself near a highway and why the police took 2 HOURS to respond, rather than the fact that this heroic man has a past record!! The title of this story is utterly disrespectful to that man and totally uncalled for. His past record has absolutely no bearing on the fact that he most likely saved that little girls life and then stayed with her trying to calm her for two hours until the police decided to make an appearance!

I agree with the other posters here. Are we supposed to be surprised that a former convict would act so unselfishly? The headline referral to his former status is absolutely demeaning and inappropriate.

yall look at the headline as disrespectful i look at it as a man who has turned his life around and is doing good now he has a past he seems to have no trouble admiting it he saved a child from somthing horrible…can someone find out how a baby got that far away from its parents were they not paying attention i mean realy most parents would have been on top of that b4 the child hit the door …but the man who saved them has a story he went from drug dealer to a savior of an infant good job man good job

Praise the Lord for this man. Glad there was someone to save this infant before something awful happened. Bless him.

What does the “Ex-Convict ” headline have to do with the story? What a ridiculous display of sensational journalism.

The person who left the snarky remark about Obama seems the sort of person who seeks the opportunity to leave a nasty remark in ANY news story, no matter what it is.
Scool lunches? Obama would let them starve!
Music? Obama would smash their unstruments!
TV shows? Obama has to approve the casting!
I am glad that the man who rescused the baby is recognized aa the hero he is. Far too many folks look at our friends who have been in prison as beyond redemption.
