Multiple Walmart associates reported feeling ill after eating Mexican food from a restaurant in their Home Office cafeteria in Bentonville earlier this week, according to a Walmart spokeswoman.
The restaurant in their Home Office cafeteria is known as Salsarita’s, and it is operated by a third party company called Eurest, the spokeswoman said.
While the source of the reported illness hasn’t been confirmed yet, out of caution, Eurest has voluntarily suspended operations at the restaurant, according to the spokeswoman.
The Walmart Food Safety Team is working with the Benton County Health Department and Eurest to investigate what caused the illness, said the spokeswoman. The entire cafeteria and kitchen have been sanitized out of further caution as well.
