Young fans are coming out to cheer on their favorite golfers this week in Rogers.
The world's best women golfers are at Pinnacle Country Club for the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.
Stacy Lewis, Michelle Wie and Cristie Kerr. Those are just a few of the LPGA players seen on the course signing autographs for fans.
The access the young fans have to the professionals during the tournament is not taken for granted. Some of the kids said meeting their favorite golfers has been a dream come true.
"It's not like they have time every day to stop and say hi to every person and sign autographs for everyone," said Allison Gulick.
"It's great that you can just walk around and see them first hand and just walk up and ask for an autograph," said Logan Long
Drake Lindsey got Stacy Lewis's autograph on Wednesday. He said he can't wait to show off his signed hat to his friends.
"She was really nice about it," he said. "I was going to wear this to my tournament and go show everybody in my age group."
Now, there's no denying Stacy Lewis has a huge following. Having played golf at the University of Arkansas, she is definitely a local favorite.
"It's pretty cool to see the kids go running back to their parents, because they are just so excited that they got to meet you and get your autograph," Lewis said.
The No. 1 golfer in the world said the younger fanbase means a lot to her.
"If it's just spending thirty seconds with a kid, the kid is going to remember that for the rest of their life," Lewis said "So, that's what I try to tell myself whenever I'm talking to those kids."
Lewis is a favorite to win the Walmart Championship. She already has two victories on the LPGA Tour this year.
Some of the kids out on the course, did not shy away from saying who they believe will win the tournament.
"Stacy," said Tanner Cowan. "I think she will will win the tournament. I'm not sure, but I'm really hoping she will."
"Morgan Pressel looks pretty good," Long said. "I think she will do pretty good."
The first round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship is scheduled to begin on Friday.
